Attention Parents: We're Looking for Photos of Your Child(ren) Reading at Home!
Reading Alert:
We’re catching students reading all over the place. They’re reading at desks, on beanbags, and even under tables! Please send in a photograph of your child(ren) reading at home, so we can catch them in the act, too. Address the pictures to Jo Hainey or Mandy Fallon. Thank you!

I haven't seen any turkeys!
After reading the adorable story Turk and Runt by Lisa Wheeler, students disguised their turkeys as ninjas, Tom Brady, Gronk, ballerinas, Star Wars characters and so many more.

Hi There,
I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to the new school year. We are well underway with our beginning of the year assessments. Instructional practices are being put into place, so students are aware of the routines and expectations. We are utilizing our Wonders Reading Program, so students are reading both narrative and expository texts for a deeper, closer understanding. I'm happy to say that some classrooms are also using The Daily Five and CAFE in conjunction with Wonders. This provides a solid structure where students can read and write authentically and purposefully. I look forward to celebrating our summer reading achievements and getting ready for our Scholastic Book Fair.
Happy Reading,
Mandy Fallon

Arthur's Eyes!
More fun with Mrs. McGovern's props after reading about Arthur getting glasses. We practiced blending sounds, cross-checking, checking for understanding and making and adjusting predictions!
Russell and the Lost Treasure!
The lost treasure was an old camera and props for pictures! Thank you, Mrs. McGovern for the books and props!
